Turkey Shepherds Pie


350 calories, 34.4 carbs, 11g fat, 30g protein



Ingredients:

Bottom layer:
1 lb. lean ground turkey
4 tsp. beef broth base (Orrington brand)
2 T. ketchup
Splash of Worcestershire
1 T. tomato sauce
2 c. water or to your likeness
2 T. cornstarch, mixed with water
garlic powder, onion powder, salt and crushed red pepper, to taste
3/4 c. frozen peas and carrots

Middle Layer:

6 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed
1/2 c. reduced fat sour cream
3/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 t. chopped green onion
splash of milk, until consistency is that of mashed potatoes

Top Layer:
1/2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:
Brown your ground turkey. Add in broth base, water, ketchup, tomato sauce, and simmer. Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into turkey mixture to thicken (if necessary). Add in peas and carrots and spices.  Top with middle layer, the potato mixture. Lastly, top with the remaining cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
